Parking at the Elfin ForestOn the map below, the Elfin Forest is outlined in black. There is a boardwalk, shown in brown, that forms a loop with extensions to two bay overlooks (Bush Lupine Point and Sienna's View). The yellow lines are open sand trails running from the other street ends to the boardwalk. 11th Street has the greatest parking capacity and the most interesting approach to the boardwalk. The sand trail here winds through the pygmy oak woodland and gives you a view of the estuary. The 11th and 12th Street entrances are conected by a walkway. The 12th Steet sand trail is wider, less steep, and better for strollers and very young children. The 16th Street entrance is handicapped accessible. Each of the other entrances has room for two or three vehicles; however, you can park anywhere along the streets as long as you do not block driveways or people's access to their mail boxes. |
